I’ve gone and done it: I’ve bought my ticket for BritMums Live (we’ve got a lovely shiny badge on the right hand side of the page to prove it) and I’m just a teeny tiny bit scared.
It’s the UK’s biggest two day conference and social media event for bloggers, and having never been to anything like this before it’s a rather daunting prospect.
I’ve got no doubt I’ll embarrass myself by recognising lots of people and heading towards them as though we’ve known each other for years, before realising in fact we’ve never even met. But when you think about it, in a way we have known each other for years, just over the internet, not in ‘real life’.
So I’m taking reinforcements in the form of Little B, and if you spot us please do stop and say hello: I’ll be the one wandering about looking overwhelmed and slightly lost with a medium-sized baby strapped to my chest.
Having read lots of other people’s entries I also thought it would be a good idea to take part in the BritMums Live meme, so here goes:
Name: Natalie Brown
Blog: Confessions of a Crummy Mummy
Twitter ID: @mrsnataliebrown
Height: Five foot six inches. And a bit.
Hair: Brown, with more grey streaks than I care to admit…
Eyes: Brown
Is this your first blogging conference?
Yes, and I’m terrified!
Are you attending both days?
That’s the plan.
What are you most looking forward to at BritMums Live 2015?
Meeting the faces behind the blogs I follow and gaining some much needed advice.
What are you wearing?
A baby, who will be strapped to my chest in the papoose. He’s got big blue eyes and you can’t miss him.
What do you hope you gain from BritMums Live 2015?
Some more blogger friends and expertise to help make Confessions of a Crummy Mummy even bigger and better.
Do you have any tips to pass on to others who may not have been before?
Google ‘BritMums Live’ and you’ll find lots of bloggers offering great advice for first timers like me such as Life According to Mrs Shilts and The Oliver’s Madhouse.
If you are a brand or company who would like to sponsor me for this event please do get in touch! In return I can offer you a post introducing you as my sponsor for the event, your brand name mentioned in all my blog and social media posts relating to the event and a badge on my homepage with a direct link to your website.
It will be lovely to see you again and to meet Little B, don’t be nervous everyone is really friendly and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Thank you for the mention xx

It’s my first time too. Never been to any type of blogging conference before, let alone a massive one. I have seen lots of reassurance that everyone is dead nice. Hopefully meet you there!

You’re bringing your little one! Go you! At Blogfest in November there was plenty of women with koala kiddies with them 🙂
And don’t be nervous; Blogfest was my first & everyone is lovely. Remember a pen & notepad!
See you there

That’s good to know – let’s hope they don’t spark a chorus when one cries! I will check out your blog and look out for you x
Don’t be terrified – everyone is so lovely and friendly!
And if you need anything just holler – I’m one of the “butterflies” this year and I’m there to make new and returning attendees feel as welcome as possible.
