It’s a big day in our house today – Misery Guts is running the Brighton marathon. For many of the runners the day will mark the end of a journey, the end of months of training culminating in them finishing the 26.2 mileΒ race, but for us today is just the beginning. The Brighton marathon is Misery Guts’s first organised event as part of his training to run the MarathonΒ des Sables, a 150-mile ultra marathon across the Sahara Desert which he’s blogging about andΒ planning to do in 2018. I’ve got mixed feelings about the whole thing which all boil down to the fact he’s Type 1 diabetic and it could very well kill him. On the up side, with a bit of luck all the races he’s got planned between now and then might make him a little less miserable and a bit more cheerful…
Massive good luck and I hope it goes well.
Thank you for linking up
Thank you very much, it all went fab! Anyone interested can read all about it at https://www.diabeticdadruns.com!

You could put it like that, but you could also say he’s very stubborn and won’t be told he can’t do something!
