Hands up who’s celebrating the kids going back to school at long last?
As a work at home mum back to school after the summer holidays has always been a cause for celebration in our house, but after six long months in lockdown I don’t mind admitting I’ve never been so happy to drop them off at the school gates!
It’s the first full week back for our older two this week, a cause for celebration for our oldest especially because she didn’t get the chance to return before the summer holidays and it’s been six months since she last properly saw her friends.
I felt so sorry for her when her brother was able to return to reception and her sister went back to nursery in June, but she still had to stay at home with us and miss out on all the things she loves most.
Her excitement was contagious when it was finally confirmed she could return to school in September and I was keen to make back to school this year as special as possible.
So, when Kellogg’s got in touch and asked us to help spread the word about their new back to school promotion celebrating the millions of children returning to school this September it was the perfect way to do just that!
Celebrating back to school with Kellogg’s
From now until November 30th Kellogg’s is giving shoppers the chance to create personalised cereal box sleeves to celebrate the back to school milestone.
The special boxes of Coco Pops, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes and W.K Kellogg by Kids are aimed at children aged six to 10 and feature the name and photo of your child on the front and personalised information on the back including what year they’re going into and what they want to be when they grow up.
Bluebell couldn’t believe her eyes when she opened hers (if you have a look at my Instagram stories you’ll see what I mean!) and absolutely loves it – and to be fair what’s not to love!
All you have to do to get one of your own is collect codes from three promotional packs of Kellogg’s breakfast cereals and visit Kelloggs.co.uk/BackToSchool where you can then upload a photo and personalised information which will all appear on their personalised cereal box cover.
As well as her personalised cereal box Kellogg’s also very kindly gifted Bluebell a pencil case, a personalised water bottle and colouring pencils with her name on which is such a thoughtful touch and has really helped make her return to school special and a day to remember – thank you team Kellogg’s!
We were gifted all the items featured in this post.
I hope the return to school has gone well.
That cereal box is so cool! What a great idea. x
When I was a kid I would have loved having my photo on a cereal box. #MMBC
How cool is this? What a fabulous idea. I hope Bluebell is happy back at school. My son, who is older and less keen about school, was there for one whole day before someone got the virus and he was back to distance learning! #MMBC
How awesome is this? I hope Bluebell has settled in well. She looks so much like her mummy. x
I love this idea! Bluebell looks really excited about it too :o)
