‘On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month we will remember them’. As I write it’s 100 years since Armistice Day, and to mark the centenary 10,000 people marched through central London in a ‘Nation’s Thank You’ procession to pay tribute to the war dead. My Dad and I were lucky enough to be two of those 10,000 people, and we each wore the medals of members of our family who served in World War One.
