Do you remember playing with snap dragons when you were little? Squeezing the side of the flower so it snaps open like a mouth? We’ve got snap dragons in the communal flower bed outside our flat and the kids love playing with them so much I’ve bought some for our allotment. After another week working from home with the kids (the school holidays end this week thank goodness) in which I went on live TV to talk about why I’m proud to be a coffee shop camper (more on that in my next post!) it was so nice to escape to the allotment and plant the snap dragons. Gardening is chicken soup for the soul – especially when the school holidays are driving you batsh*t mental. Do you enjoy gardening? Have you ever grown snap dragons?

I'm a wife, mama of four, freelance journalist, author & blogger. Not necessarily in that order!
I have some in my garden – I love them. I make them “speak” for the children who don’t find it as amusing as I do!
I love these, I might try to plant some myself
