At last! After what seemed liked an endless winter and all that rain it suddenly feels like July in our neck of the woods. Officially one of the sunniest places to live in the UK, I captured #MySundayPhoto of Brighton’s iconic West Pier (or the ‘broken’ pier as BB calls it) when I was walking along the sea front with Littlest B in her buggy. It’s actually a bit misleading as the beach was packed with day trippers at the time (see 5 bad things about living by the sea!) and not empty like this photo suggests at all. It was just a quick snap but I must admit I’m quite pleased with it! Are you in throes of a mini heatwave where you are?

Well done for getting a photo of Brighton beach with no one else in it. Love the description of the Broek Pier! #mysundayphoto
Loving this photo such a shame about the pier being broken must visit Brighton one day #mysundayphoto
Beautiful, there is no better place to enjoy that Brighton when the sun is out.
Thank you for linking up to #MySundayPhoto
We have had the heatwave too and it doesn’t often hit Cornwall! Love your deckchairs, so typical of Brighton.
What a lovely place to catch some sunshine…We had a bit of a heatwave. It’s cooled down now but it’s still nice x
The pier looks pretty mesmerising, even if a little broken. I love Brighton! We don’t visit it enough. #MySundayPhoto x
