It might sound a bit strange, but we’re growing runner beans by the sea. As ambassadors for innocent drinks’ new #sowandgrowUK campaign – an initiative aimed at encouraging kids to grow their own food from seed – we’re growing pots of beans, carrots and cress despite the fact we live in a fourth floor flat and don’t have a garden. And as you can see they’re doing rather well! One of the key points of the campaign is that all you really need to grow your own fruit and veg is a sunny windows sill, but actually you don’t even need that. As you can see it’s been lashing down with rain in our neck of the woods and even so the beans are shooting up. Watch this space for a full update on how we’re getting on with the growing process, which will be live later this week. Are you growing anything from seed? How are you getting on?
Part of a great campaign to grow your own. Not so keen on the rain!
Lovely to see your beans are growing well. We took part in a sow and grow event last year and the girls had fun growing cress and spinach. Makes me think I should really try it again this year 🙂
What a great sounding campaign to get involved with
Thank you for linking up
Ahh! Wonderful.
Good luck with the growing x
What a great campaign to be a part of. Glad to see what your beans are growing so well.
OH How I wish I had green fingers!
Your runner beans look amazing! Can’t wait to see them when they’ve finished growing!
