If you’re a regular follower of the blog you’ll know I love a sign and the wall above my desk is full of them, from positive affirmations to cheeky wall art that makes me smile.
When Neon87 offered to gift me an LED sign from their Mini Collection for my home office I knew it was the perfect way to update the overall look of the space and make the wall pop.
Updating my home office with Neon87
If you haven’t come across Neon87 before they’ve made signs for Netflix, YouTube and the BBC to name but a few and can basically turn any design into a neon sign.
You can either choose from their range of signs which come in all shapes, colours, and sizes (I was a bit like a kid in a sweet shop!) or you can create your own featuring, for example, your business – or even your blog – logo.
My home office is in a small corner of our sun lounge (I call it bijou!) with a view out to sea, so choosing a sign with a seaside theme and colour was a no-brainer for me.
That said, choosing one was easier said than done because there’s everything from ice cream to sunsets to different types of waves to choose from.
After much deliberation (much to the annoyance of Misery Guts!) I chose Neon87’s Waves neon sign in ice blue (£98). It’s small but perfectly formed (34cms x 7cms) which is ideal for my little home office because anything bigger would have been too bright and overbearing.
It nestles in nicely among the other signs above my desk and I don’t care what anyone says – there’s no such thing as too many signs! I love the way it has updated my home office for 2022 and I’m tempted to add some more to the other rooms in our flat too!
How much does it cost?
Neon87’s prices start from £98 for their Mini Collection. You can also choose to have a dimmer, which I’d recommend so you can adjust the brightness yourself.
All Neon87’s signs are handmade in their factory in Exeter and come ready to switch on with a 2-metre long power cable and plug.
My verdict
I absolutely love the neon trend – it’s kitsch, it’s fun and my little sign completely transforms my home office both during the day and in the evening.
Unfortunately, scaffolding has gone up on our building since my sign arrived so I can’t show it to you with the sea view in all its glory, but that’s real life and as you know I always tell it how it is!
What I didn’t appreciate until jumping on the neon bandwagon is that neon lighting also creates a mood. It’s bright and fresh in the day, then gives the room a cool, relaxed glow in the evening. In short: I love it! As well as a treat for yourself a neon sign like this would also make a great gift, especially if you personalise it. Thank you Neon87!

I was gifted the Neon87 sign featured in this post. As always, all opinions are my own and based on my own honest experience.
