It’s consistently rated one of the best all-season duvets on the market thanks to its signature ‘cool-touch’ technology and ‘no clumping’ design.
But does the Simba Hybrid duvet really tick all the boxes if you’re planning on splashing out on a new duvet this winter? Read on to find out!
Earlier this year we reviewed Simba’s summer hybrid duvet, and with the nights drawing in and the temperature dropping we were asked to swap out our summer duvet and give the Simba Hybrid duvet – a warmer, 10.5 tog offering – a go.

Just like Simba’s summer hybrid duvet, the Hybrid duvet boasts ‘cool-touch’ technology to help regulate your body temperature and ‘support fresher sleep’. At the same time, with its 10.5 tog rating, it’s also designed for year-round use and to keep you warm on colder nights.
Since our last Simba review we’ve swapped our (very warm) and well insulated flat for a 130-year-old late Victorian terraced house which isn’t quite so toasty, so warmer bedding will definitely be a must as we head into winter!
Like all of Simba’s duvets the Hybrid arrives in a free compact storage bag which can easily be popped under a bed or at the top of a cupboard when you’re not using it, and if you don’t have space to store separate summer and winter duvets the Hybrid is an ideal all-season solution.
What’s hybrid about it?
The filler in Simba’s Hybrid duvet is made from recycled plastic bottle fibres which are gently combed into layers to encourage airflow through the duvet for drier warmth.
According to the experts at Simba, the result is a light duvet offering gentle warmth, which when combined with their Stratos ‘cool-touch’ tech means the duvet offers down-like warmth with instant, tangible coolness to help dissipate excess heat.
The selling points
One of my favourite things about Simba duvets is the piping around the edge, which fits neatly into the seams of your duvet cover and holds the duvet in place. That means you don’t need to spend ages realigning your duvet and cover when you make your bed in the morning, and the two won’t separate during the night either – even with little people flailing around!
What immediately struck me about the Hybrid duvet is how thick it is – it feels super dense and luxurious, and the phrase ‘you get what you pay for’ springs to mind.
The duvet is also stitched into squares to prevent clumping and uneven coverage, and is machine washable – which with four kids is an absolute must in our house!
How much does it cost?
The Simba Hybrid duvet has an RRP of £139 for a single, £199 for a double, £249 for a king size and £259 for a super king.
My verdict
I absolutely love this duvet – it’s so warm and cosy without being stifling, and the quality is obvious as soon as you take it out of the bag. The duvet looks really luxurious and plump on our bed, and also gets the thumbs up from our cat Daisy, who wasted no time snuggling down and making herself at home!
